Most residents and villa owners in the area avoid the big brand franchises, preferring to use smaller local greek-owned companies. It is our experience that they provide a better and more personal service. A good company to try is AutoClub, with offices in Kalives and Almirida. Rates are very fair and the price quoted is the price you pay, there are no hidden extras or expensive 'options'.

Alternatively, you can make your own way from the airport (taxi from Chania around 35 Euros, one way) and arrange with AutoClub to have your car ready in Almirida or even delivered to your villa door. They are very flexible and will try to help as much as possible.

Please remember that they are 2 hours ahead of UK time and that the offices are normally closed in the afternoon between 2pm and 5pm (12 noon and 3pm UK time) opening again from 5pm until about 8pm Greek time.
